Here’s something different for “Treasure + Close Up” this year. I used the Spirit-Filled Bible instead of the KJV, but otherwise, it’s the same scripture and the same philosophy as always. Some things never change, like the Word of God.
This is even more authentic, for it incorporates unexpected elements from my daily life: a bracelet, bougainvillea “flowers” that have fallen from the tree where I like to unwind and meditate and a hint of kitten paw from one of the cats that tries to copy everything I do, including read the bible, apparently. Wise kitten.
Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:
But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:
For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
